Perlisten S7t Speakers

The Perlisten S7t Is A THX Dominus Flagship Built To Do Both Music And Cinema Properly

Perlisten isn’t a brand with decades of heritage behind it, but the people behind it have that in spades. Founded by engineer Dan Roemer and businessman Lars Johansen, both hi-fi industry veterans, Perlisten set out to build speakers that hold their own against the best in the business from a standing start, and the S7t is the result, the flagship of the range and the first THX Dominus certified loudspeaker ever made.

THX Dominus sits above every other THX home certification tier, designed to bridge the gap between large home cinema speakers and the reference monitors used in commercial screening rooms. That’s the ambition behind the S7t: a speaker equally serious about two-channel music and full-scale home cinema, not a compromise between the two.

What's Actually In The Box

At the heart of the S7t is Perlisten’s proprietary DPC-Array, a central beryllium tweeter flanked by dual TPCD (thin-ply carbon diaphragm) midrange domes, arranged to control dispersion with real precision. Rather than letting sound bloom in every direction, the array concentrates energy horizontally and reduces vertical spread, cutting down on the ceiling and floor reflections that blur detail in most conventional speakers. Four custom 7-inch TPCD woofers handle bass duties, giving the cabinet genuine scale and control at the low end.

“It's the kind of clarity that makes you want to go back and listen to records you thought you already knew.”

Design And Build

The S7t carries premium cabinet construction throughout, with finish options to suit a serious listening room rather than a lifestyle space. It’s sold as a stereo pair, and every element from the driver array to the cabinet has been engineered around one goal, extraordinary accuracy without sacrificing the dynamics and scale a room this size demands.

Our Take

9 /10

We’ve had the S7t in the studio, and it’s every bit the flagship the THX Dominus badge suggests. The DPC-Array does exactly what Perlisten claims, imaging is precise and stable in a way a lot of speakers at this size simply don’t manage, and the low end has real authority without ever feeling loose or overblown. This is a speaker that treats music and film soundtracks with the same seriousness, which is rarer than it should be at this level.

Worth knowing: the two independent reviews we found covering this speaker in depth were actually of Perlisten’s pricier S7t Limited Edition, a different, £30,000 variant with its own upgraded internals, not the standard S7t Senso stocks. We haven’t leaned on their specific claims here since they don’t describe this exact model, but the engineering DNA and our own time with the standard S7t back up why it carries the reputation it does.
