Customer requested to upgrade their pre-existing Klipsch surround sound system into a full Dolby Atmos setup in their open-plan living room. Their primary goals were achieving an elegant, discrete aesthetic while enjoying an audiophile-grade listening experience. Key to this was keeping all cable runs neat and hidden.
Senso Systems designed and installed a bespoke media wall tailored to the client’s needs. This wall elegantly housed the left, right, and center channel speakers while providing a sleek mount for the TV. It served as both a functional and aesthetic centerpiece, ensuring all equipment was seamlessly integrated. The audio-visual upgrade featured an Arcam AVR processor, delivering impactful and authoritative sound performance. A Sonance ISW in-ceiling subwoofer provided deep bass without visible clutter, while Sonance IS4 in-ceiling Dolby Atmos speakers created a multidimensional sound field, ensuring a fully cinematic experience.
The final installation struck the perfect balance between performance and design. The media wall kept all components and cabling hidden, maintaining a clean, minimalist look. The sound system exceeded the client’s expectations, delivering rich, engaging audio while remaining discrete and stylish.
The client sought to expand their existing McIntosh audio system while maintaining an upgrade path for future improvements. They prioritised achieving greater sonic clarity and performance, with a focus on reducing noise and vibration for a purer listening experience.
Senso Systems delivered a comprehensive upgrade by integrating Stillpoint Isolation technology, including the ESS Isolation Rack, to mitigate vibrations and enhance equipment performance. Key components were upgraded for improved audio fidelity: the MT5 turntable was replaced with the high-performance MT10, while the M611 mono blocks were upgraded to MC-1.25 Monaural Power Amplifiers. The client’s CD player saw a significant improvement with the transition from the MCD85 to the flagship MCD1200.
The upgrades resulted in a dramatic leap in sonic performance. The implementation of Stillpoint Isolation technology particularly stood out, substantially lowering the noise floor and bringing remarkable clarity to the soundstage. The upgraded components delivered richer, more detailed audio with improved dynamics and precision. The client was thrilled with the transformation, which not only enhanced their listening experience but also laid the groundwork for future system refinements. This project demonstrated Senso Systems’ expertise in creating bespoke, high-performance solutions for discerning customers.
Senso Systems conducted an on-site visit to analyse the customer’s room frequency response and its impact on their Kii Three speakers’ performance. Using advanced tools, we adjusted the Kii speakers’ built-in EQ software to align with the acoustic characteristics of the environment. This ensured the speakers operated in harmony with the room’s layout and materials, eliminating distortions and inconsistencies.
The tuning process resulted in a significantly more balanced and detailed sound presentation. The client experienced an elevated listening experience, with enhanced clarity and precision that maximised the potential of their Kii Three speakers. This project highlighted our commitment to delivering bespoke acoustic solutions and after-sales service.
With an additional building adjacent to the main home, the customer wanted to have a range of indoor and outdoor speakers installed across different locations of the property to enhance the environment and setting. The requirements for both discrete indoor and outdoor speakers were inspired by the customer wanting to entertain guests in a more impressive and engaging way when hosting family and small parties, whilst also providing an additional ambience when conducting activities around the home.
Our solution was to use a range of Bowers and Wilkins outdoor speakers and Sonance architectural in-ceiling speakers. The B&W AM-1’s provided a robust and durable chassis that could hold up against the costal conditions, whilst also providing an elevated level of sound quality for the outside areas. Each speaker was installed in such a way to be discreet, with cables hidden inside the architecture that ran back to a media cupboard housing the amplifier and streamer. The result of the project was a sleek and minimalist looking installation that fitted the customer’s aesthetic and met their expectations.
